Less time fighting the workflow. More time making the edit work.

Flex started from the small things that keep slowing an edit down: arranging footage again, hunting for the same asset, cleaning silence, rebuilding subtitles, repeating a setup that should have taken one click. Each Flex tool fixes one of those problems and then gets out of the way.

Flex Suite

Not one giant plugin. A set of tools for the parts of editing that waste time.

SmartFrame is only one piece. Flex is growing into a shared family of tools for layout, assets, subtitles, cutting and timeline work. Same visual language, same account system, same idea: remove the repetitive part without taking over the creative part.

Flex-SmartFrame

For the moment when a 2×2 or 3×3 layout should be simple, but turns into ten minutes of resizing clips. Pick the grid, preview it, adjust the dividers and apply the layout directly to the edit.

Flex-AssetDock

A home for the sounds, images and little things you reach for on every project. Keep them close, find them quickly and drag them into the edit without digging through the same folders again.

Flex-AutoSub

Built for edits where subtitles are part of the job, not the job. Turn speech into a usable caption pass faster, then spend your time fixing what actually needs judgment.

Flex-AutoCut

For interviews, podcasts and talking-head videos where the first pass is mostly cleaning gaps. AutoCut is being built to find silence and take care of the boring cuts before you start shaping the story.

Flex-Split

A faster way to break footage into the structure you actually need — especially when multi-cam, repeated sequences or lots of small sections make manual setup feel heavier than the edit itself.

Inside Flex-SmartFrame

A layout tool made for the exact point where Premiere starts feeling repetitive.

SmartFrame does not try to replace Premiere's timeline. It sits next to it. You decide the grid, assign the clips, check the preview and apply the layout. If the result is wrong, Undo is part of the workflow — not an afterthought.

Auto when the layout is simple Start with an even grid instead of calculating positions by hand.
Manual when the shot needs room Move the cuts and dividers when equal spacing is not the right composition.
Assign → Apply → Undo A short, visible workflow so you always know what Flex is about to change.

Why Flex
I build the tools I wish I had while editing.

Flex comes from doing both sides of the work: making videos and writing software. That makes the priorities pretty simple. The tool has to save real time, it has to make sense inside the edit, and it should never make a project harder to trust.

01

Start with an annoying real task

Not a feature list. Something that keeps happening in actual projects.

02

Make the useful part fast

A tool should shorten the route from decision to result, not add another layer of setup.

03

Keep the editor in control

Preview first, predictable changes, and an easy way back when the result is not right.

What is next

The suite is still growing.

Flex already spans layout, assets, subtitles, dialogue cleanup and timeline utilities. New tools will keep coming from the same place: things that are useful enough to build because they keep showing up in real work.

Flex-SmartFrameLayout and multi-video framing

The current SmartFrame workflow continues to be refined around Premiere Pro.

Flex-AssetDockAssets closer to the edit

Faster access to the material editors reuse every day.

Flex-AutoSub / AutoCutLess repetitive cleanup

Speech, subtitles and dialogue workflows are a major part of the next phase.

Feedback from editors is useful here. If something in Premiere keeps wasting your time, or you need help with a Flex tool, send it over.

Spend less time setting up the edit.

That is the whole idea behind Flex.
